Hiking With Gadget Girl

It's All About The Adventure!

We had battened down the hatches and prepared for cold weather for this morning, and was surprised on how warm it actually was. This is the first time the clouds hadn't cleared over night.

Today we hiked in the trees all day. No views, which tend to make one moan about the hills. Up, up, up, down, down, down, repeat all day long. I didn't take a bunch of pics today because there wasn't a lot to take pics of.

There seems to be a lot of lost clothing on this section - a pair of men's black underwear hanging on a branch, a packed up tent hanging on a post (who loses their tent?), and numerous items hanging on a fence at the trailhead.

We left Holy Cross Wilderness and entered the Mt Massive Wilderness. Another monotonous day with ups and downs. We know this is just preparing us for the upcoming Collegiate West which will be even more difficult that what we have been through. We could take the slightly easier Collegiate East, a few miles shorter and a few thousand feet less up and down, but we are focused on going the more wilder route. We will start that adventure on Monday.
